Tim founded Golden Eagle in 2019 with the goal of identifying, acquiring and operating a single high-quality company whose owner(s) is/are looking to exit the business due to retirement or to pursue other interests.
From early childhood, Tim was heavily involved with the operations of his family’s business, which included a health club, restaurant, banquet facilities, land development company and homebuilding company. Due to his father’s health issues, Tim ultimately helped negotiate his father’s divestiture from the business while still in college. Tim looks forward to getting back to his entrepreneurial roots.
Prior to founding GEPC, Tim was a Vice President at SE Capital Partners where he focused on origination, execution and monitoring of lower-middle market business services opportunities. While at SE Capital, Tim developed a PEO thesis, sourced the firm's first PEO-related acquisition, conducted the deal diligence and ultimately became a Member of the Board for the acquired company.
Prior to joining SE Capital, Tim was an Associate at Sterling Partners. During his time at Sterling, Tim evaluated middle market acquisitions in the Industrial Services, Business Services, Healthcare Services, SaaS and Education Services markets. While at Sterling, Tim worked closely with the management teams of his portfolio companies, leading add-on acquisition diligence processes and collaborating with management teams on day-to-day operations.
Before joining Sterling, Tim spent three years as an Analyst at Lazard Middle Market focusing on Business Services, Education Services and SaaS mergers and acquisitions. While on the sell-side, Tim helped develop client companies' strategic plans, operating models and growth initiatives.
Tim earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from Marquette University.
